Club Notes 14-11-2019

The past number of weeks have seen the club involved in two finals. The first final, on Sunday 27th October, saw the Minors take on Ballingeary in the Division 4 Championship final. On a glorious sunny day, but with underfoot conditions being soft the Kilmacs put in a wonderful, hardworking performance but had to give over to a superior Gaeltacht outfit on the day.

The team was lost to Ballingeary by 0-9 to 2-8 was as follows: Christy Wilson, Eoghan Burns, Owen Tobin, Padraig Gore, Adrian Gore, Billy Murphy, Jamie Ronan, Odhran Kerrisk, Peter Hayes, Keith Whelton, John Keating, Shane O Sullivan, Eoghan O Donovan, Liam McCarthy, Denis White.

Despite the defeat, great credit has to go to the management team of Barry Glavin, Tim Nyhan, Matthew O Neill, David Minehane and Kevin O Driscoll who have brought this group on throughout the year.

The second final, was the Junior Football League Division 1 final against Ballinascarthy played in Rosscarbery on Saturday 9th November. This was a repeat of the championship encounter earlier in the year and unfortunately for the Kilmacs once again ended in defeat, by 1-9 to 2-10.

The AGM of Kilmacabea GAA Club will take place on Sunday 24th November 2019 at 2:30pm. Everyone is asked to attend, as all decisions for the 2020 season will be made at this meeting.
