Junior Football Update

The Junior A Footballers continued their league campaign on Thursday 11th July with a trip to Ardfield. We met the men from St James in the league final last year and after a tight affair we eventually came out on top by 2-13 to 4-4.

This encounter was more of the same from both sides, with a high paced game making for some very enjoyable football to watch. Despite losing a man to an early red card, it was the Kilmacs who settled the better and with Cork U20 star Damien Gore back in the attack, led the way by 0-9 to 0-4 at the short whistle.

The Ardfield men are known for their dogged determination and never let the Kilmacs rest, but with some excellent defensive displays it was the Kilmacs who ran out 3 point winners, 0-12 to 0-9.
