Weekly Club Notes
Our Junior Footballers were back in championship action last Sunday afternoon, when they took on and defeated near neighbours and great rivals Castlehaven in the Quarter Final at a splendid Ross venue. The Kilmacs won by 1-13 to 1-10 and will now face either St James or O Donovan Rossa in the Semi Final to be played later this month.
The club and Junior footballers would like to thank all our supporters who yet again turned out in great numbers to support the team on Sunday. The noise and the colour that they big to ever game is very much appreciated by all associated with the team.
Two other teams were in action last week, with the Minor footballers falling to Kilmeen by 1-7 to 3-7 to the league in Rossmore on a damp Wednesday evening. The u16’s travelled to Drimoleague last Monday evening but had to give way to a stronger Clann Na Gael outfit on the night.
Finally the club would like to thank all the volunteers, local businesses and everyone who contributed to another successful Kilmacabea GAA Community Festival. Without the hard work of a small but dedicated committee none of the events would be possible. There will be more from the Festival on our website in the coming week.
