Club Notes 4-7-2019
The Junior footballers finished their league campaign with an excellent win away to St James on Wednesday 19th June. A great display yielded a 3-13 to 1-11 victory and leaves the team top of the league with 7 wins out of 9 games and on course for a third consecutive league final. The date for the league final will be fixed at a later date.
The underage teams all had mixed results over the past two weeks. On Friday 21st June the u14’s travelled to Clonakilty and were unlucky to lose out by a single point by 2-11 to 2-10. On Sunday 23rd, Urhan were the visitors to Leap to take on our U16 footballers and despite the miserable weather, with rain pouring down for the entire game, the Kilmac lads managed to put in a tremendous display and emerge victorious by 5-9 to 0-12. The final team in action that week were the U12’s, who on Monday 24th put in a brilliant display of skill and football to win out over a talented Clann Na Gael team by 5-10 to 3-5.
Finally this week, everyone associated with Kilmacabea GAA Club would like to congratulate Ger O Donovan (Bawnfune) and his new wife Sinead O Brien, who were married in Sneem Co. Kerry over the weekend. May they both have a long and happy life together.
