Kilmacabea GAA Notes 27-05-2021
It has been great to see football action return to John William Goulding Park, with the resumption of training for both our underage and adult teams. With restrictions being lifted, this means that our adult teams will be back in action in the coming weeks. Our 2020 County Junior A Championship Quarter Final v either Charleville or Buttevant, which was postponed due to restrictions last October has been fixed for Saturday June 19th at 5pm in Coachford. The hope is to stream this game live like last season’s championship games but this will be confirmed closer to the date.
With this in mind, the Carbery Board have organised regional football league cups for this season and we are in Division 1A along with , Castlehaven, Carbery Rangers, Tadgh MacCarthaigh, Urhan and Muintir Bhaire. The first game of this league will take place on Tuesday 8th June at 8pm in Leap against Castlehaven.
The club would like to thank Keith Cronin of Cronin’s Centra Leap for his kind donation of €1000 once again and the whole club is delighted with Keith’s genorisity again this year. We also would like to thank all of all club sponsors for sticking with us through this very tough year, your continued support is extremely appreciated.
Well done to Damien Gore and his Cork Senior Football teammates, who defeated Laois by 2-12 to 0-10 last Saturday evening in Portlaoise in the second game of the the National Football League Division 2. This result sets up a winner takes all clash next Sunday against Clare and we wish Damien and the team all the best.
