Club Notes 14-10-2021
Our Junior C Footballers travelled to Ahamilla last Sunday morning to take on Clonakilty in the 1st game of the Junior C/D Championship. With only a small panel to chose from on the day, the Kilmacs put in a very competitive performance and can be happy with their display on the day. A balanced Clonakilty side emerged winners by 3-3 to 1-12 but the Kilmacs played some excellent football and if a few more chances had been taken then the outcome might have been different.
The panel that played Clonakilty was: Ger O Donovan, Brian Hayes, Kevin O Donovan, Clive Sweetnam, Myles Tobin, Christy Wilson, Jamie Ronan, Eoin O Sullivan, Ciaran O Donovan, Niall McCarthy, Mark Jennings, David Collins, Eoin O Donovan, Eoghan O Donovan. Cillian Sheehan, Michael Donovan, Thomas French, Denis O Donovan
This team will now take on Diarmuid O Mathunas in the 2nd group game and will need to win to keep their championship dreams alive.
This coming Saturday, the underage of the parish will gather in the pitch as they will compete for the Fr Crowley Cup and the Fr Pat O Sullivan Cups respectively. This is open to all children from 2nd to 6th class, both boys and girls and all welcomed to compete. Both tournaments will get underway from 2pm.
On Sunday 17th the club will host the County Premier Senior Football Championship final group game between our neighbours Castlehaven and Carbery Rangers. This game will throw in at 2pm and all stewards are asked to be at the GAA grounds from 1pm onwards.
