Club Notes: 28-04-2022
Our U13’S took on Tadgh MacCarthaigh on the 14th in Aughaville and managed to come away with an eight point win, Kilmcabea 5-10 Tadgh MacCarthaigh 5-2.
The Junior C Footballers played their second league game of the season last Saturday evening, when they welcomed near neighbours Carbery Rangers. In a keenly contested game, both sides looked dangerous at times but the sides were deadlocked at four points a piece at half time. While the visitors seemed to hit a little form in the second half, it was the Kilmacs who plundered two crucial goals which saw the Kilmacs run out two point winners on the night. Full time Kilmacabea 2-7 Carbery Rangers 0-11.
The Ladies football side of the club is now up and running and training and games are now coming thick and fast for our fledgling club. On Saturday morning last the U12’s and U10’s were both out in action. The U12’s took on O Donovan Rossa in a keenly contested challenge game and acquitted themselves very well. The U10’s travelled the short journey to Skibbereen to take on the hosts in a blitz and had a very enjoyable mornings football. The U12’s then travelled to Durrus on Monday evening to take on the home team in their first ever league game and on the night came out winners to record the club’s first ever competitive ladies football win. Huge congratulation to the team and their mentors on this historic occasion.
