Club Notes 12-05-2022
Firstly the club would like to congratulate Joe O Donovan on his great performance for the Cork Primary team against Kerry last Saturday evening in Pairc Ui Rinn. Damien Gore was introduced as a second half sub in Cork’s Munster Senior Football Championship semi final defeat to Kerry on the same evening. Well done to both lads on representing the club and your families with pride.
The ladies football club is getting its season really underway and the our U12 girls have got off to a great start with two wins from two in their league campaign so far, with an away win over Durrus and a first home win on Monday night over the girls from Clann Na Gael. The U10 girls had a great morning’s football last Saturday in a home blitz against Castlehaven and Durrus.
Well done to Mark Cooke and Liam McCarthy who were part of Skibbereen Community School’s Simcox winning team that defeated Clonakilty Community College in Rosscarbery during the week.
The Kililen U19’s travelled to Kilmurry last Wednesday night for their third game in the Cork County U19 Football League. A very close game throughout it was the Kililen lads ability to get goals that was the difference on the night as they ran out 3-9 to 1-13 winners.
