Club Notes: 06-04-2023
Last Sunday was a busy day for the club with both the Junior A and U14 footballers in action. Firstly the Junior A Footballers welcomed great rivals Tadgh MacCarthaigh on Sunday morning and a great game of football ensued. The Kilmacs started well and a goal with the opening play of the game gave them a great start. This was the high point of the half as their opponents began taking over and the half time scoreline read; Kilmacabea 1-2 Tadgh Mac 1-4. A number of changes and the introduction of a few experienced subs turned the game for the Kilmacs and a much better second half display, saw the Kilmacs run out winners by 2-9 to 1-8.
Then later on Sunday afternoon the U14’s took on Sam Maguires in the league and put in another excellent display to run out comfortable winners by 5-10 to 1-3.
Well done to the Mothers and Others group who took part in a charity walk on Saturday morning last Saturday morning in aid of Crumlin Childrens Hospital and the Cliona Foundation. The group raised €375 for these charities.
The first Rebels Bounty draws took place last Thursday evening in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and it was great to see a Kilmacabea GAA ticket pulled out in the March draw with Ena Sheahan winning €250. Congratulations Ena!!
