Club Notes: 31-08-2023
Two players represented the club in the Cork County Premier Senior Football Championship Divisions and Colleges Section. Firstly last Thursday evening, Ruairi Hourihane played for the Carbery Senior Footballers as they were defeated by Duahllow in the semi final of the Divisions and Colleges section on a scoreline of Carbery 0-14 Duhallow 0-15. Then on Sunday evening, Ian Jennings was introduced as a first half sub and despite scoring a point wasn’t able to help his UCC team as they were also defeated by Duhallow in the final of the Divisions and Colleges section, final score UCC 0-14 Duhallow 2-14.
Ciara Jennings was part of the Skibbereen U12 Community Games Aldi team that were defeated in the All Ireland semi final over the weekend. The team did manage to beat Cara from Mayo to finish 3rd overall. Well done to Ciara and her teammates.
Our U8 boys and girls had a very enjoyable evenings football in Castlehaven last Thursday evening. Our U10 boys travelled to Drimoleague on Saturday morning and played some excellent football against Clann Na Gael.
Our U15 Footballers travelled to Ballydehob on Monday evening to take on Gabriel Rangers in the next round of the championship group and came away convincing winners on the night.

U13 Boys Football v Caha Og on Friday 1st September at 7pm in Adrigole
U15 Boys Football v Owen Gaels on Saturday 2nd September at 7pm in Leap
U12 Boys Football v St Oliver Plunketts on Monday 4th September at 7pm in Ahiohill
The club/community council lotto is up and running again since the start of the year, so don’t forget to play as the draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be bought at the usual local outlets at a price of €2 each or 3 for €5. Also the Lotto can be played online at www.leaplotto.ie and also on the Club force app by selecting Leap Lotto.
