Junior Football Update

Last week was a busy week as both Junior football teams were in League action.

First out were the Junior A Footballers who travelled to Ballinascarthy on Thursday evening the 28th June 2018 to take on the home side. The concession of an early goal meant that the Kilmacs were under pressure from the start and with the home side on top  the team trailed Ballinascarthy at half time by 0-5 to 1-7. Another goal for the home side early in the second half saw the Kilmacs with an uphill task and were unable to pull back the deficit and Ballinascarthy ran out winners by 0-9 to 2-10.

The Junior C Footballers then headed for Aughaville to take on Tadgh MacCarthaigh in the 3rd round of the Division 4 league on Friday 29th June 2018. Lacking in numbers the team played some excellent football and despite a late comeback from the home side they ran out winners by 1-13 to 1-12. This leaves the team top of the league with two league games remaining
