Club Notes 21-02-2019

The Junior A Footballers continued their league campaign last Sunday afternoon as they welcomed Kilmeen to John William Goulding Park. A tentative start saw both teams trade early scores, until Ger O Donovan billowed the back of the Kilmeen net to put the Kilmacs into a one- point lead. This goal was the decisive score in the opening half as the Kilmacs retired leading by 1-5 to 0-6.

A number of early substitutions worked the oracle for the Kilmacs, as a second goal and another point pushed the lead out to six points early in the 2^nd half. Some sloppy play however let the Rossmore men drag themselves back into the game, and it took a Ger O Donovan free late in the game to seal a narrow one -point win for the Kilmacs. Full time score Kilmacabea 2-10 Kilmeen 0-15.

The Championship draws were also made last Wednesday night. The Junior A Footballers will take on near neighbours O Donovan Rossa in the 1^st round. The Junior C Footballers have been drawn with St Colums in the Quarter Final of the Championship. While the U21 B Footballers will play Bantry Blues in their U21 1^st Round.

Junior Football League Division 1 vs St Colums on Sunday 17^th at 12 noon in Leap.

Junior Football League Division 3 vs Bantry Blues on Sunday 17^th at 3pm in Leap.
