Club Notes 11-04-2019
It was a busy week with a number of teams involved in league action. Last Monday night the Junior C Footballers travelled to Bandon for a league game and came away convincing winners on a score line of Kilmacabea 2-15 to Bandon 1-7.
On Tuesday evening our minor footballers welcomed Beal Atha Ghaorthaidh to Leap and despite putting in an impressive performance had to give way to a better team on the night.
Our Junior Footballers were again in action on Sunday last when they travelled to Ballinascarthy for their latest league encounter. With a strong Crossfield wind making playing conditions difficult. A better start from the Bal lads saw the Kilmacs in trouble early on, but some late scores clawed the deficit back coming up to half time. A stronger second half, had both sides level with a quarter of an hour to go, but such was the Kilmacs luck on the day, it was the Bal men who came away with maximum points, on a score-line of Kilmacabea 0-10 Ballinascarthy 2-9.
The Bandon Co-Op Junior A Football Championship 1st Round v O Donovan Rossa has been fixed for Easter Sunday 21st April at 3:30pm in Castlehaven
Fixtures for the club week: Minor Football League v Sam Maguires on Tuesday 9th at 7pm in Dunmanway. U14 Football League v Clann Na Gael on Monday 15th at 7pm in Drimoleague. Junior Football League Division 3 v Castletownbere on Saturday 13th at 3pm in Leap.
