Club Notes 13-02-2020
With activity on the playing field taking a back seat this weekend, it was a quiet week throughout the club.
On Sunday, Damien Gore started against Down in their National Football League Division 3 clash. With conditions very difficult, due to Storm Ciara, Damien was heavily involved from the start and deservedly kicked 3 points to help Cork secure a 0-16 to 1-8 victory. That victory keeps Cork top of the table with 3 wins out of 3.
Well done to the Kilmacabea Juniors who travelled to London over the weekend and captured the Brawl Cup by defending Kerry Kingdom Gaels. Many thanks to Kevin O Sullivan and his brother Declan who has been instrumental in organising this now annual trip and well done to all who travelled.
The U21’s will be back in Championship action this coming weekend when they take on Ahan Gaels in the 2nd round of the championship. This game is fixed for Sunday at 3pm in Ahiohill. The Junior A team are due to play St Colums in the first game of the league on Sunday, but this game might be re-fixed due to the U21 game. Check on club social media for updates on these fixtures.
The club will hold a registration and membership night on this Thursday 13th between 7:30pm and 9pm in the GAA Clubhouse.
