Club Notes 24-09-2020

No guessing where to start this week’s notes but with the U12’s superb victory in the league final against Argideen Rangers last Monday evening in Leap. This superb performance was a credit to all who have coached this team to date, and goes to show that despite small numbers that great things can be achieved with hardwork. The full time score was Kilmacabea 5-24 Argideen Rangers 3-7. The whole club is delighted with this win and hopefully it is the start of a successful end to 2020.

The victorious U12 panel that helped bring back the League title to the club is as follows:

Also this past week the Junior C Footballers opened their Championship defence with a tough trip to Ballydehob last Sunday to play the home side Gabriel Rangers. Starting slowly and the concession of an early goal didn’t stop the team from putting in an excellent second half display, to run out comfortable winners by 4-12 to 1-10. Keith Whelton was the star man with a hattrick of goals, making all the difference on the day. They now face Kilmeen in the Quarter Final, date and time to be confirmed.
