Club Notes 29-07-2021

The u12’s travelled to Aughaville on Monday evening last to take on Tadgh MacCarthaigh in the league. Despite the poor weather conditions the young Kilmacs put in another wonderful display of attacking football and emerged as clear winners on a score line of Kilmacabea 5-12 Tadgh MacCarthaigh 4-4.

The U9’s travelled to Church Cross last Saturday morning and had a very enjoyable mornings football against the home side Ilen Rovers. Meanwhile the U7’s also enjoyed an enjoyable morning’s football when they took on Clann Na Gael in Drimoleague.

It was disappointment for Damien Gore and the Cork Senior Footballers as they suffered a heavy defeat by Kerry in the Munster Senior Football Final last Sunday in Killarney. All associated with the club thank Damien for representing his club and his family with great pride and commitment in the blood and bandage during the year.

With Cork’s exit from the Intercounty scene last Sunday, our 2020 County Junior A Football Championship Semi Final v Iveleary has been fixed. The game is fixed for Sunday 1st August at 2pm in Sam Maguire Park, Dunmanway. Having seen off the tough challenge of Charleville in the Quarter Final, Iveleary will be a much tougher prospect as the Muskerry Champions have been close to winning this championship in the past few years. The whole club want to wish Kevin, Joe and the rest of the Junior A panel the very best of luck on Sunday.

Fixtures for the coming week:

U13 Football League v Castlehaven on Saturday 31st July at 7pm in Union Hall

Bon Secours 2020 County Junior A Football Championship Semi Final v Iveleary on Sunday 1st August at 2pm in Sam Maguire Park, Dunmanway
