Club Notes 20-08-2021
The U13’s took on Ibane Gaels last Thursday evening in Leap in the league and despite leading at half time, the lads had to give way in the second half to a much stronger Ibane outfit. The past few weeks have been difficult for this group and this game proved a bridge too far on the night.
The club would like to extend its congratulations to Eabha O Donovan and her Cork U14 teammates on their great win over Kerry in the Munster Final on Sunday in Mallow. Eabha has Kilmacabea blood running through her veins, her father James and her uncles Ger, Noel and John have all represented the club with great distinction through the years, and Eabha’s tally of 1-6 in a Munster Final is a great achievement.
Our Junior A Footballers get back into Championship action this Friday evening as they go about defending their Carbery Junior A title. Having suffered a chastening defeat to Uibh Laoire in the recent County semi- final, this is a great opportunity to get that game out of the system and get back to winning ways. Our opponents are well known to us in St Marys, who we defeated last year en route to winning the championship. This game has a 7pm throw in and is fixed for Dunmanway and we wish Kevin and the lads the very best of luck.
Keep an eye on club social media for ticket arrangements and streaming details later this week.
