Club Notes: 03-02-2022

Have you signed up for the Rebel Bounty Draw yet? The first draw for 2022 is fast approaching and  takes place on 24th February and for just €100 you will be entered in 12 monthly draws where the total prize fund is €500,000. This draw was a huge success for the club last year and your support again would be very much appreciated as all money collected above minimum sales target will help to fund club activities for years ahead. To join you can head to www.gaacork.ie/rebelbounty and select Kilmacabea GAA Club or you can also contact club treasurer Jennifer Sweetnam for a paper application.

The club would like to congratulate Mount Saint Michael Secondary School U19 Footballers who defeated St Michaels Listowel in the semi final of the Munster Senior B Football championship last Saturday afternoon in Killarney, by 1-11 to 0-12. There were seven Kilmacabea players involved on the day; Liam Tobin, Eoghan O Donovan, Owen Tobin, John Keating, Robbie McCarthy, Paudie Gore and Cillian Whelton and it was wingback Owen Tobin who scored the crucial goal on the day. The team will now face Abbey CBS from Tipperary Town in the Munster final on Saturday 12th ,time and venue to be confirmed.

Also on Saturday last, Mark Cooke and Liam McCarthy were part of the Skibbereen Community School Senior Footballers who were defeated by Tralee CBS in the semi final of the Corn Ui Mhuiri competition.
