Club Notes: 26-05-2022
The Junior C Footballers made the trip to Ahamilla last Friday evening to take on Argideen Rangers. On a perfect evening for football and despite limited numbers, the lads put in a brilliant performance and ran out comfortable winners by 3-14 to 1-2.
A number of players who were involved with the Junior C Footballers on Friday evening were already in action on Thursday last, as Mount Saint Michael Secondary School, Rosscarbery defeated Midleton CBS by 3-11 to 0-10 to win the Cork Post Primary Schools Senior B Championship Final, played in MTU Cork Campus. John Keating was the star man on the day with two great goals, ably assisted by Eoghan O Donovan, Liam and Owen Tobin. The other Kilmac men on the panel were Robbie McCarthy, Cillian Whelton and Paudie Gore. Well done to all the lads on a great achievement!!
Congratulations also need to go to former Kilmacabea man Kevin O Sullivan who was part of the Kerry Kingdom Gaels side that defeated Thomas McCurtains 1-8 to 1-6 to win the Conway Cup Final 2022, played in McGovern Park Ruislip over the weekend. Well done to Kevin and all his teammates.
Best of luck to our U14 Footballers who take on Muintir Bhaire in the 1st Round of the championship on Wednesday 25th at 7pm in Durrus.
