Club Notes: 09-06-2022
Congratulations to the three schools in the parish who had great success in the recent Sciath Na Scoil finals held in Dunmanway. Well done to Maultrahane National Schools, Leap National School and Glandore National School boys who all had fantastic wins in their games. Glandore Girls put up a great display but unfortunately had to give way to a better Ardfield team on the day. Well done to all the coaches and teachers who put in a great effort with these players during the year.
Damien Gore came off the bench for the Cork Senior Footballers as they overcame the challenge of Louth by 2-12 to 2-8 to advance to the next round of the All-Ireland Qualifier series. Next up for Cork is another home game against Munster rivals Limerick, fixed for Sunday 12th at 1:30pm. Best of luck to Damien and the team on Sunday.
The Junior Footballers travelled to Kealkil to take on St Colums in the most recent league game and came away with a great 2-11 to 0-4 win.
The U14’s had a fantastic win in the opening game of the championship by beating Muintir Bhaire. They now take on Caha Og in Leap on Thursday 9th at 7pm and this game is the semi-final of the championship.
