Club Notes: 21-09-2023

The U14 girls took on Grenagh in the County Semi Final on Sunday afternoon last the 17th September in Leap. A great hours football took place and the Kilmac girls put in a great performance but just had to give way to a stronger Grenagh outifit on the day. Well done to all the girls who played their part yesterday, particularly Kilmac player of the match Aela French and ably led by captain on the day Emer Jennings.

The U15’s made the trip to Durrus on Sunday last to take on Muintir Bhaire in the Quarter Final of the championship. This team competed very well throughout the game and with just a little more luck could have come away with the win.

Centre stage this weekend, is the Junior A Football Championship Quarter Final v near neighbours and great rivals Carbery Rangers. This will be a repeat of the 2020 final where the Kilmacs recorded their 3rd title in  four years at a windswept Ardfield. This game is fixed for Sunday 24th September at 5:30pm in Rossmore. Once again we ask our loyal supporters to come out in force and get behind the team and get them over the line.

The club would like to say well done to James O Donovan (Droum House) who was part of the Kuala Lumpar club who took part in the Asian Gaelic Games played in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia over this past weekend. Well done James for keeping the Kilmac flag flying abroad!!

Fixtures for the week:
