Club Notes 09-05-2019

The past week wasn’t a quiet one, with lots of league games at different age groups. The Minor footballers have two games, away to Dumanus on Tuesday 30th and away to Clann Na Gael on Friday 3rd. Unfortunately neither game went the way of the Kilmacs, despite putting in a big effort in both games.

The U14’s had a tough game away to Kilmeen on Thursday 2nd, but had to give way on the night to a better balanced Rossmore outfit. The U12 Footballers had two games over the past ten days, recording good wins away to Glengarriffe on Monday 29th April and at home to Ballinascarthy on Monday 6th. These victories will bring this group on as they continue their development.

Finally the Junior 3 footballers made the trip to Ahamilla last Friday night, 3rd to take on Clonakilty. This was a special weekend for the Clonakilty club as they celebrated 10 years in the new grounds, but it was the better balanced Kilmacs than ran out winners by 3-8 to 0-9. They also played Randal Og on Friday 10th in Ballinacarriga and again recorded another victory by 0-15 to 1-8. These results leave the team top of Division 3 of the league with 6 wins out of 6.

The clubs annual Church gate collection takes place this weekend, the 11th and 12th at all masses in the parish. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.

Finally many thanks to all those volunteers who helped host the JAFC game between Ilen Rovers and Bandon last Saturday evening the 4th.
