Late free sends Junior A Final to replay

As the clock ticked into the 62nd minute in Drimoleague last Sunday evening, a hush descended over the venue as Daniel O Donovan stood over a free. As his left foot connected with the ball, a huge roar went up from the Kilmacabea supporters as we had drawn level with the last kick of the game. Daniel’s injury time free meant that the teams finished level on a score-line of  0-12 to 2-6 and the replay of the Carbery JAFC Final is fixed for this Saturday 8th September at 6pm in Drimoleague. Well done to Clann Na Gael who managed the hosting of the game very well and we encourage our supporters to come out in huge numbers again and get behind the lads once again.

Once again we would like to wish Noel, Niall and all the team the very best of luck on Saturday evening.

Also this coming weekend, our Junior C Footballers are also in Championship action when they are due to take on Tadgh MacCarthaigh on Sunday 9th at 12 noon in Leap. This game, at the time of writing, is going ahead but is obviously subject to the result of the JAFC Final replay on Saturday.

Fixtures for the coming week: Junior A Football Championship Final Replay v Tadgh MacCarthaigh on Saturday 8th at 6pm in Drimoleague. Junior C Football Championship Quarter Final v Tadgh MacCarthaigh on Sunday 9th at 12 noon in Leap.
