Club Notes 11-07-2019
The draw for the 3rd Round of the Junior A Football Championship was made on Monday night, and we have been drawn with St Colums. We’ve had some great battles down through the years and this game will no doubt be a tough encounter. The date and time of this fixture will be made at a later date, so keep up to date with club social media for all fixture news.
The u16’S had an excellent win last Thursday evening when they took on Dunmanus Rovers in Leap. The Leap lads ability to score goals was the difference on the night, running out winners by 6-10 to 4-9.
On Monday evening last the u12’s made the long trip to Kilmichael to take on the home team, and despite putting in a very good performance, had to give way to the a strong Kilmichael outfit on the night.
Everyone at the club would like to wish Damien Gore and the Cork U20’s the very best of luck as they make history by playing their Munster Semi Final v Waterford in Ahamilla, Clonakilty on Friday evening.
Finally the club would like to extend its condolences to the McCarthy and Ronan families on the death of Michael McCarthy. Both the McCarthy and Ronan families continue to play a huge role within our club and off it as well. Ar dheis de go raibh anam sin.
