Another relatively quiet week on the playing fields, after a hetic few weeks to start the shortened 2021 year.
The Junior 2’s played O Donovan Rossa in the Carbery Football League Division 2A last Tuesday evening in Leap. A good entertaining game of football was played on a fine evening for football and the spoils were shared on the night with the final score being Kilmacabea 2-10 O Donovan Rossa 2-10.
The U12’s made the trip east to Ahiohill on Monday night last, the 12th to take on the home team St Oliver Plunketts in the league. Starting very brightly the young Kilmacs had the best of the early encounters and led at the short whsitle by 2-6 to 0-4. The fine footballing performance continued into the second half and they ran out easy winners by 4-11 to 0-7. Well done to all involved on another great win.
Well done to Damien Gore and the Cork Senior Footballers on their 1-16 to 0-11 win over Limerick last Saturday afternoon in the Gaelic Grounds. This win qualifies the team for the Munster Final which is to be played on Sunday 25th at 4pm in Killarney against our old foes Kerry.
