Club Notes: 30-06-2022
The Junior A Footballers played their final two league games of the season in the past two weeks. Firstly they faced old foes Tadgh MacCarthaigh on the 19th of June and despite the lads best efforts Caheragh ran out winners on the day; Kilmacabea 0-10 Tadgh MacCartahigh 1-13. On Sunday 26th last the lads welcomed near neighbours Castlehaven to Leap. Bouyed by the return of Damien Gore to the ranks the Kilmacs ran out 2-12 to 1-9 winners on the evening, this leaves the Kilmacs with 10 points from 8 games and we will have to wait to see if we make the league playoffs.
The dates and venues have been confirmed for our upcoming Junior A Football Championship group games:
v Kilbrittain on Saturday 16th July at 7:30pm in Ardfield
v Ballinascarthy on Sunday 24th at 7:30pm in Clonakilty
v Clonakilty on Sunday 14th August at 7pm in Dunmanway
There was no joy for Damien Gore and the Cork Senior Footballers as they exited the All Ireland Football Championship after defeat to Dublin in the All Ireland Football Quarter Final last Saturday evening in Croke Park.
The U12 Girls carried on their great form in the league when they travelled to Ballinspittle and defeated the hosts Courcey Rovers. This team has improved with every game this year and great credit needs to go to all involved with this group.
