Club Notes: 20-07-2023

The Mothers and Others group made the trip to Pairc Ui Chaoimh last Saturday to take part in a blitz organised by Keelnameena Ladies Football Club. The group had a great day and enjoyed some great football against several other clubs. Thanks also to former Cork Ladies Footballers  Elaine Harte and Brid Stack who put the ladies through their paces on the day.

Saturday was also a great day for one of our younger girls. Nell Kinsella played in the Primary GoGames at half time during the Dublin v Monaghan All Ireland Senior Mens Football Semi Final in Croke Park. This was a great occasion for both Nell and her family and she represented her club with great pride.

Former Junior footballer Kevin O Sullivan won the Conway Cup with Kerry Kingdom Gaels in London over the weekend. Well done Kevin from the whole club.

Joe O Donovan, Milo Kinsella and Aodan Murphy played as part of the Cork West u14 team that played Kerry in Skibbereen recently.

The Junior A Footballers completed their league campaign with a win over Kilmeen recently. Clonakilty conceded the final league game and now their attention turns to their opening JAFC Group Game v Argideen Rangers on Saturday 29th at 7:30pm in Rosscarbery.

The club/community council lotto is up and running again since the start of the year, so don’t forget to play as the draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be bought at the usual local outlets at a price of €2 each or 3 for €5. Also the Lotto can be played online at www.leaplotto.ie and also on the Club force app by selecting Leap Lotto.
