Club Notes: 24-08-2023

The Junior A Footballers took on Kilmeen in their next group game of this years championship in Rosscarbery last Sunday evening. A strong start saw the lads race into an early lead, but a number of injuries seem to derail the team and the gap was down to a single point midway through the second half. A number of subs breathed new life into the teams performance and a second goal turned the tide with the Kilmacs eventually running out winners by 2-10 to 0-11. This means that after 2 games in the group, we are top with two wins from two. Our final group game will be played in early September against Bandon.

Our U13 Boys made the trip to Ballydehob on Monday 14th and despite putting in a brave performance had to give way to a stronger Gabriel Rangers team on the evening. This group were also due to play Muintir Bhaire last Friday evening but this game was postponed due to Storm Betty.

Also our U12 boys had a good win over Ballingeary in the league on Monday night.
