Club Notes: 14-09-2023

Our U12 boys travelled to Ahiohill on Monday night the 4th September to take on St Oliver Plunketts. Another spirited display from our young lads who kept going and never gave up despite the result not going their way.

The U13 boys took on Aghinagh in Leap on Tuesday 12th September and again kept playing right to the end despite the opposition being stronger on the night. This group is improving with every game and are gaining valuable experience along the way.

The U12’s girls made the long trip to Rathcoole in Duhallow on Saturday afternoon to take on Dromtarriffe in the County League. A great team performance saw the girls push the home side right to the wire and on another day they could have come away with the points. Best on the day for the Kilmacs was Heather O Donovan while Bridget Hurley captained the team on the day.

This group has one remaining fixture against Delaneys which is due to be played later this month.

On Friday evening, the 8th September  the Junior A Footballers continued their championship campaign when they made light work of the challenge of Bandon’s second team in a very foggy Barryroe. A very good team performance saw the Kilmacs cruise past a very dogged Bandon outfit, by 4-15 to 0-2. This result means that we top Group 3 of the championship, with 3 wins from 3 and can look forward to another Quarter Final in the coming weeks.

Any over 17’s who may be interested in taking part in Scor Sinsear this year are asked to contact our Cultural Officier Cait Meghigan for further details.

U15 Boys v Caha Og on Thursday 14th September at 6:45pm in Leap

U10 Boys Blitz v Castlehaven on Saturday 16th September at 10am in Castlehaven

U14 Girls County Semi Final v Grenagh on Sunday 17th September at 12 Noon in Leap
